THE MOTHERSHIP
Menna Olvera
Wellness & functional-medicine practitioner, mindful-movement teacher, and the heart behind Prepare to CareGive.
A practice rooted
in lived experience
For more than two decades, Menna has worked at the meeting place of medicine and mindfulness — as an integrative-care program director, a teacher of restorative movement, and a guide for people navigating illness, healing, and the end of life.
Her own work in functional wellness, mindful movement, and restorative practice is the mothership — the deep well from which everything else flows. Prepare to CareGive is how she channels that depth toward the families who carry caregiving on their shoulders.
Why I Created It
From the bedside to a program
When Menna cared for her own parents, she discovered something that years of professional training had only hinted at: even the most prepared among us are rarely ready to caregive. The logistics, the grief, the exhaustion, the moments of profound tenderness — they arrive all at once.
As program director of integrative care, she had guided countless families through those same passages. She saw caregivers giving until there was nothing left of themselves — and she knew there was a better way.
Prepare to CareGive is that better way: a program that prepares the practical and the personal, so caregivers can show up whole. It is preparation as an act of love — for the people we care for, and for ourselves.
Grace
Meeting hard moments — and ourselves — with gentleness instead of judgment.
What guides the work
Peace
Protecting the well-being of the caregiver, not only the person being cared for.
Strength
Preparation, knowledge, and steadiness gathered before the moment of need.
Let Menna help you prepare
Whether you're facing caregiving soon or already in it, there's a place for you to begin.
